Community festivals rely on interested and passionate volunteers who actively give of their time and energy to make these events a success, and National Capital Craft Beer Week and Festival is no exception. With the support and help of people like you, this year's event will surely be a success and an event that people will remember fondly for years to come.
NCCBW opens on August 10th and runs through to August 18th. The first week starts with our opening event that is followed by events held at participating National Capital Craft Beer Week venues. These events will lead up to the two-day outdoor event at Festival Plaza (next to City Hall).
What we're looking for
We are looking for energetic, organized, committed and sociable Event Volunteers to help with the development and delivery of the inaugural National Capital Craft Beer Week (NCCBW) and Festival from August 10th to 18th.
The positions will be temporary part-time volunteer positions as the event load throughout the summer is varied. These positions will offer candidates a great opportunity to gain on-the- job experience at a number of programming, administration, logistics, sales, marketing and other event related roles during the summer. Candidates will know the event schedule well in advance and must be available for all days that apply to the volunteer contract.
The event days can be anywhere from 4-8 hours long. These positions are great for someone looking for volunteer or industry hours for school. A letter of reference will be provided for completed hours. There will also be administrative and task-oriented shifts available throughout the week prior to our events.

- Festival Sales - Admissions and Merchandise Security - Site security and licensing enforcement

- Communications - Street level marketing blitzes
